Nairem Moran, former Sports Information Director at St. Mary's College of Maryland, has been hired as the new Director of Athletic Communications at Susquehanna. Moran, a graduate of St. Mary's, is set to join the athletic communication staff in December.

A 4-year letter winner in both field hockey and lacrosse during her time at St. Mary's, Moran returned to her alma mater in 2007 after serving as the Sports Information Director, as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and as a member of the editorial board for the school's magazine. Prior to her tenure at St. Mary's, Moran served as SID at The College of New Jersey in Ewing and at Presbyterian College in South Carolina.

Following the decision to bring her aboard, Moran stated, "I want to thank Director of Athletics Pam Samuelson and the search committee for the opportunity to continue to grow as a Director of Athletic Communications at Susquehanna University. I look forward to working with everyone on campus and getting to know the River Hawk student-athletes."

After a long search, Athletic Director Pam Samuelson and the search committee are ready to bring Moran aboard.

"I am very excited about adding Nairem to our team.  She brings extensive experience in athletics communications, along with a strong record of effectively partnering with others across the campus.  Nairem will be a significant asset in promoting our student-athletes and their achievements," stated Samuelson the new addition of Moran to the staff.
