Maddie Murray scored 11 points off the bench as the reserves for the Susquehanna University Women's Basketball team combined for 53 points as the River Hawks handed Goucher College a 77-24 loss Saturday afternoon in a Landmark Conference game in Towson, Maryland.

Freshman Erin McQuillen led all scorers with 18 points and played just five minutes in the second half as Susquehanna (9-11 Overall, 4-6 Landmark) built a comfortable lead in the first half of play. The River Hawks led 44-11 at the intermission.

Goucher (0-21, 0-10) did not score more than seven points in any one quarter and were held to four points in the opening 10 minutes of the contest.

Every available player saw action in the win for Susquehanna. Murray led the effort from the reserves with her 13 points while Rachel Sweger added eight points, Alanna Connolly and Alysa Davey-Bostic each scored seven and Alexa Petrozzino added six. Desiree Furbert grabbed a team-leading six rebounds while Courtney Adams, McQuillen and Nevin Hoenninger each recorded five rebounds. Bailey Trell and Hoenninger tied for the team lead with six assists each.

McQuillen had 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field including a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range.

The River Hawks return home Wednesday to face Catholic in the first of three games in the last four against teams in the group of six that are battling for the final two playoff spots in the conference tournament. The River Hawks face Catholic and Elizabethtown who are currently tied for third place and Drew who is deadlocked with Susquehanna and Moravian in fifth spot.
