Susquehanna (1-7) was dropped by Marietta (4-1) in game one. Nick Berger  and Ben Berman each had a double to lead the offense in the defeat.

After Marietta scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, the River Hawks answered with 3 runs in the top of the second.

Berger had his RBI double and Giaimo had an RBI single in the inning. The third run was scored when Anthony Dombrowski was thrown out trying to steal second, but Giaimo was able to score from third in the process.

Marietta manged to score two runs on a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second to tie the score. After they scored three runs in the bottom of the third, they took a 6-3 lead.

The River Hawks scored three runs in the top of the fifth on Berger's two RBI double followed by a Cole Luzins RBI single.

Marietta answered with six runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good.

Luzins came in from third base to pitch and gave up one run in four innings to close out the game. The last run scored by Susquehanna came on a sacrifice fly by Dombrowski in the eighth inning to close the game at 13-7.

Susquehanna countered that 13-7 loss with a 13-7 win against Ohio Wesleyan in game two.

Trailing 1-0 in the top of the second, the River Hawks scored twice to take the lead. After  a Luzins double with two outs, Giaimo doubled to left center field to score him. Peter Yarem followed that with an RBI single.

Ohio Wesleyan took the lead right back after a 3 run inning to lead 4-2. The River Hawks broke the game open and scored seven runs in the top of the third inning to lead 9-4. Miller, Berger, Luzins, and Craig Roumes all had RBI hits in the inning to keep the rally going.

Susquehanna would never look back, thanks to starting pitcher Tyson Thrush who battled adversity but ultimately settled down to give the River Hawks six strong innings. Thrush gave up four runs in the first two innings, but did not allow Ohio Wesleyan to score over his final four innings.

An RBI groundout by Burman in the fourth inning and Miller and Giaimo had RBI doubles in a three-run sixth inning to give Susquehanna a 13-4 lead.

Ohio Wesleyan scored three more times over the remainder of the game.

The River Hawks continue their Florida trip Tuesday when they play Wooster at 11 a.m. in Port Charlotte.
