Brandon Cassidy finished sixth and Chris Bouchard was 12th to lead the Susquehanna University Men's Golf team to an eighth place team finish Thursday at the Moravian College Spring Invitational at the Southmoore Golf Course in Bath, Pa.
Cassidy fired a six-over par 77 and finished his round with a birdie and two pars on the last five holes. He shot a 37 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine for his final score of 77 on the Southmoore course that played at 6,193 yards and a par 71.
Bouchard improved his finishing position on the last four holes as he finished with a birdie and three pars to score a 38 on the back nine. He also had a birdie and two pars on the front nine where he shot 41.
The River Hawks also had scoring rounds from Logan Kern +15 (86) for 33rd place, Morgan Fisher +23 (94) for 41st place and Chris Cahill +33 (104) as he tied for 44th position.
Susquehanna is in action again Friday with the first round of a home-and-home match with Penn College. The first 18 will be played at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club Friday and the second round will be played at Williamsport Saturday.
