Freshmen Chris Bouchard and Brandon Cassidy each fired an 83 for the Susquehanna University Men's Golf team in the first round of competition in a two-day dual match against Penn College Friday with the first 18 holes taking place on the Susquehanna Valley Country Club course in Selinsgrove. The second round will be played Saturday in Williamsport.
Penn College golfers posted the top four scores on the day with a 79, two players tied with 81 and an 82 as the Wildcats hold a 426-453 lead in the team competition.
Bouchard and Cassidy were tied for fifth with their rounds of 83, Rob Johnson was seventh with a 91 and Morgan Fisher was eighth two shots back at 93. Logan Kern finished tied for ninth at 103.
