Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Kasey Bost went 4-for-6 with three runs batted in and Heather Pearson went 4-for-7 with five RBI as the Susquehanna University Softball team used hot bats and timely pitching to sweep Landmark Conference opponent Juniata College by winning 8-3 in game one and 12-4 in five innings in the nightcap Saturday afternoon at Sassafras Field in Selinsgrove.

In game one, Susquehanna (17-9 Overall, 5-3 Landmark) got off to a hot start with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Susquehanna added three more runs in the bottom of the third inning on a two-out bases loaded two-run single by Jackie Gore. Gore made a heads up play and got into a run down between first and second base, allowing Greenwald to score the third run of the inning before being tagged out.

The Eagles (6-19-1, 1-7) crept back into the game in the top of the sixth inning by scoring three runs of their own and trimmed the lead down to 6-3 but the River Hawks scored two more runs in the bottom of the inning to lead 8-3.

Pearson knocked in the seventh run with a run-scoring triple and then scored the final run of the game on a passed ball.

Alexa Gonzalez capped off a complete-game victory with a clean seventh inning.
