Box Score The Susquehanna University Men's Tennis team had a pair of three-set matches in singles play against Scranton University Saturday afternoon but the River Hawks were on the short end of both matches and fell by a 9-0 score to the Royals in a Landmark Conference match on the Garrett Center Courts in Selinsgrove.
Alexander Dove and Ashton Collins both took their singles matches to three sets before falling. Dove won his first set at No. 2 singles with a 6-4 victory but dropped a 6-2 decision in the second set and fell by a 10-4 score in the tie breaker.
Collins also won his first set with a 6-3 victory but dropped a 6-3 second set and then fell 10-3 in the tie breaker.
Scranton won all three doubles matches to take the early lead and swept the singles matches as well for the 9-0 win.
The River Hawks complete Landmark Conference play Sunday with another home match as Drew University comes to the Garrett Center Courts for a 1 p.m. match. A win over the Rangers would secure a Landmark Conference Tournament bid for the River Hawks.
