Chris Bouchard shot an eight over par 79 Thursday afternoon to lead the Susquehanna University Men's Golf team in the first competition of the Spring season as the River Hawks took 16th place as a team in the Blue Jay Classic Tournament at the Hershey Country Club East course.
Bouchard led Susquehanna as he finished tied for sixth overall as he shot par on three of the last four holes and carded a 39 on the back nine.
Alex Wager was the second Susquehanna finisher with a +24 95 as he finished in a tie for 76th position. Morgan Fisher finished 90th with a +29, 100 and Jonathan Frommeyer finished tied for 98th with a 109.
The course at Hershey played at 6,384 yards and was a par 71.
The River Hawks were scheduled to compete at the two-day Carnegie Mellon Invitational over the weekend but with the tournament being postponed, the team will play next at Lebanon Valley Monday.
