Box Score After Moravian College and the Susquehanna University Men's Tennis team split the doubles matches with the River Hawks taking a 2-1 edge, Susquehanna swept the singles play to walk away with an 8-1 victory Sunday afternoon in a Landmark Conference match at Bethlehem.
Moravian (3-5 overall, 0-3 Landmark) win a tight 9-7 decision at No. 1 doubles but Susquehanna (7-3, 2-1) took the 2-1 lead with wins at no. 2 and no. 3 doubles.
Alexander Dove and Alexander Cocolas posted an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles and Nicholas Meale and Ashton Collins won 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles position.
In singles play, Ben Ornstein won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1, Dove took a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 and Cocolas was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 3. Ryan Seibert won by the same 6-0, 6-2 score at No. 4, Meale was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 5 and Collins closed out the scoring with a tie-breaker win at No. 6.
The River Hawks continue Landmark Conference play next Saturday at Catholic and return home the following day against Penn St. Altoona.
