How It Happened
- Scranton struck first twelve and a half minutes into the first quarter as Gracie McClatchy capitalized on a loose ball in front of the cage.
- The Royals went on to score two more unanswered goals, one off a penalty corner and one off a deflection after Annalee Smith (Flanders, N.J. / Mount Olive) made a defensive save for the River Hawks.
- Senior forward Heather Casey (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) found the back of the cage in the fourth quarter off a pass from Vivian Simone (Belvidere, N.J. / Notre Dame), after the team forced a penalty corner.
- McClatchy would find the back of the cage again in the fourth to make the final score 4-1.
