LEXINGTON, KY. – The AVCA released its final Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday afternoon and Susquehanna University volleyball has finished out the season in the 20
th spot. The River Hawks' ranking comes after recording a historic season and run in the NCAA DIII Volleyball Tournament, notching the program's first ever win in the tournament.

The River Hawks ended the season at Johns Hopkins University in the second round of the NCAA Tournament posting a 32-7 overall record and 6-0 Landmark Conference record. SU faced Westminster (Pa.) in the first round of the tournament, taking down the Titans in three sets to advance to the second round.
The team took on Stevens Institute of Technology in the second round of the tournament and fell to the Ducks in five tough fought sets. During the two games, senior setter
Lindsey Pugh (Bear, DE. / Caravel Academy) became the single season assists leader while junior
Sydney Portale (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) recorded her 1000
th career kill.
Susquehanna ends the season ranked in the top 50 in 10 of the 15 team statistical categories.
Pugh ended the season 28
th in the nation in assists per set and 7
th in total assists.
Rosina Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) is ranked 17
th in total kills, 26
th in total attacks, 43
rd in points per set and 27
th in service aces.
During the tournament, the team combined for 93 kills across two matches.
Portale who finished the season 19
th in total kills nationally, contributed 26 of them. Senior
Veronica Kirchner (Drexel Hill, Pa. / Monsignor Bonner-Prendergast) finished the season ranked 28
th in the nation in total blocks after tallying six blocks in the NCAA tournament.
