Box Score Winchester, Va. – The Susquehanna University men's tennis team remained undefeated on the 2018-19 campaign Saturday night as the River Hawks only dropped two matches in their first win of the spring. Susquehanna (6-0) notched a 7-2 non-conference road win over the Shenandoah University Hornets (1-2) at the Winchester Swim & Tennis Center.
  
How It Happened
Doubles

• Susquehanna opened up the match with a 2-1 lead following doubles action.
• Senior Nicholas Meale (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) and freshman Emil Vyskocil (Cornwall-on-the-Hudson) started the winning for the River Hawks with an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
• Seniors Ben Ornstein (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) and Ryan Seibert (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) followed suit with an 8-3 decision at No. 2 doubles for a 2-0 SU advantage.
• Seniors Alex Cocolas (High Bridge, N.J./Voorhees) and Alex Dove (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) dropped a tough battle at No. 1 doubles, falling 8-6 to Darian Diaz and Bryan Harris.

 
Singles

• Vyskocil and Meale each won their singles match to stretch the lead to 4-1. Vyskocil posted a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 3 singles followed by Meale's identical victory at No. 4 singles.
• Diaz came up with his second win of the night for Shenandoah with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 1 to cut the lead to 4-2.
• Ornstein got the River Hawks back on track with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for the decisive fifth point of the match.
• Cocolas won at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-0 while senior Ashton Collins (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) came up with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 to wrap up the 7-2 win for Susquehanna.
