How It Happened
- In a low-scoring first quarter, Susquehanna struck first at 9:17 as sophomore midfielder Tyler Humphrey (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) converted a pass from Dick for his fourth goal of the season and a 1-0 SU lead. The Mules answered back just over two minutes later when Ethan Grossman found the back of the net.

Muhlenberg then rattled off three straight over a four-minute span, including back-to-back tallies from Grossman, to take a 4-2 lead into halftime.
- The Mules stretched their run to 4-0 with an unassisted goal from Brandon Moyer at 9:59 of the third frame before junior attackman Preston Ouellette (Trumbull, Conn./St. Joseph) cut the lead to 5-3 after finishing off a pass from Dick. Muhlenberg scored two straight to claim a 7-3 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
- SU outscored the hosts, 3-2, in the final period as senior captain Jake Smolokoff (Oceanport, N.J./Red Bank Regional) put one past Garrett Pope and Dick contributed two more to pull the River Hawks within three but Susquehanna would get no closer.
