Elizabethtown, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's lacrosse team will be the No. 3 seed in the 2019 Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament following Saturday's results. Susquehanna (10-7, 4-2 LC) had its six-game win streak snapped with a 7-4 conference road loss to Elizabethtown College (9-7, 5-1 LC) in the regular-season finale.
The River Hawks will now travel to second-seeded University of Scranton, a 16-8 winner at Moravian College today, on Wednesday, May 1, for one of two semifinal games at 7:00 p.m. During the regular-season, the Royals came into Selinsgrove and posted a 15-7 victory over Susquehanna on March 23.
Elizabethtown, the top seed and two-time defending Landmark champion, will host No. 4 seed The Catholic University of America on May 1 as well at 4:00 p.m. in the other semifinal matchup.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays used six second-half goals to separate themselves from Susquehanna.
- Cody Richter put E-town on the scoreboard first with his 20th goal of the season at 12:50 for a 1-0 lead early in the first.
- SU responded by firing off three straight thanks to the Donnelly brothers. Junior defenseman Patrick Donnelly (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) sparked the 3-0 run with his first career goal at 1:48 left in the first period. His older brother, attackman Jack Donnelly (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder), followed with the next two goals to send the River Hawks into halftime with a 3-1 advantage. There was a 13-minute gap between both of J. Donnelly's scores.
- Elizabethtown came out strong in the third quarter, notching the first two at 7:24 and 5:50 to even up the game at 3-3.
- Junior attackman Brian Hewett's (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) sixth goal of the season gave the River Hawks their final lead of the game with 5:24 remaining in the third.
- The Blue Jays scored two more in the final 2:16 of the third and then tallied goals at 13:58 and 11:21 of the fourth to boast a three-goal advantage.
- The E-town defense limited Susquehanna to three turnovers, two shots and outgained the River Hawks, 4-1, in ground balls in the final 11 minutes.
Inside the Box Score
- Sophomore attackman Colton Dick (Owings, Md./Northern), the Landmark's leader in assists and points, was held to five turnovers, four shots, and two ground balls.
- The Blue Jays outshot SU, 38-21, and won the ground ball battle, 35-25.
- E-town also posted a 10-of-15 margin in face-offs as Nick Sicilia won 9-of-14 with four ground balls.
Top Performers
- J. Donnelly was the only River Hawk with multiple points as he finished with two goals.
- Senior defenseman Dan Murphy (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) scooped up a career- and game-best six ground balls and added a season-best four caused turnovers to pace SU's defensive efforts while senior Dylan Abplanalp (Grasonville, Md./Kent Island) made 13 stops.
- Andrew Watts led all scorers with three goals while Mike Scrafano chipped in two goals and an assist. Tom Mahoney turned away seven shots for his ninth win of the season.
