th career hit and hit a home run as the Susquehanna University Baseball team locked up first placed in the Landmark Conference Saturday afternoon in Selinsgrove. How It Happened
- The Eagles (13-26, 2-16) scored the first two runs of game one with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single before starter Ryan Monroy settled down.
- The River Hawk bats would remain quiet until the fifth inning, when Anthony Dombrowski reached on an infield single. Following a hit by pitch and a walk, Lorenz came up big with a two-run single to tie the game and Burman knocked an RBI single on the very next pitch to give the team a lead.
- Will Carey came in to shut down the Eagles in the sixth inning and Bobby Grigas handled the order in the ninth in dominating fashion to get the save and Susquehanna won, 3-2.
- In game two, the bats could never really get going and the Eagles used a big fifth inning to break it open.
- Miller was the highlight of the afternoon, collecting his 100th career hit with a sharp single through the right side and adding a home run to right field in the ninth inning, but the team fell 8-2.
- Susquehanna finished the regular season with a 14-4 record in Landmark Conference play, good enough for a solo first place position.
