Field Hockey Downs Undefeated Ithaca College

Hunter Pitman (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood) and junior
Vivian Simone (Belvidere, Nj/Notre Dame) were able to score to lead the River Hawks to a 2-1 victory over Ithaca Saturday afternoon in the non-conference matchup.

How It Happened
- Pitman scored first for the River Hawks off a penalty corner, giving Susquehanna a 1-0 lead
- Both teams remained scoreless for much of the contest after the first goal.
- Susquehanna's second goal came from Simone after the team forced a penalty stroke.
- Ithaca was able to score in the fourth quarter after forcing a corner, but fell to the River Hawks 2-1
- Senior goalkeeper Emily DiGaetano (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) made just four saves during the contest.
