Susquehanna Defense Shines in 3-0 Victory

th Annual Hampton Inn River Hawk Classic. The team combined for 40 digs in the 3-0 victory as the defensive "controlled the pace of the game", said head coach

How It Happened
- The River Hawks (10-3) were able to combine for 43 kills to the Tigers (5-6) 21, to claim a 3-0 victory.
- In the first set, Susquehanna beat the RIT 25-16, recording 13 kills and a .333 attack percentage as a team.
- The River Hawks dominated the Tigers in set two with a quick 25-17 victory.
- RIT made the River Hawks work in the third set but were unable to take the set and fell 25-21.
Inside the Box Score
- Rosina Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) led the team against RIT in kills with 15 while outside hitters Sydney Portale (Glen Mills,Pa. / Garnet Valley) and Brooke LaCesa (York, Pa / Eastern) tallied seven apiece.
- Senior Capitan Kasey Bost (Eldersburg, Md. / Liberty) lead the defense with nine digs while Kody Dillon (Bear, Del./Caravel Academy) had three blocks.
- RIT's leaders were Katie Hobler with seven kills and Taylor Higgins with eight digs.
