SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's tennis team (3-1) notched their third shutout victory of the season Tuesday afternoon. Susquehanna (3-1) blanked the visiting Alvernia University Golden Wolves (0-1), 9-0, in non-conference action.

How It Happened
Doubles

• Sophomore Emil Vyskocil (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y./Cornwall) and first-year Conor Ryan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) tallied their third win of the season with an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.
• First-years John Duncan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and Joshua Sanderson (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) moved to 5-1 on the season with an 8-2 win over Kevin Angeles and Noah Hermany at No. 2 doubles.
• Sophomore Ethan Cooley (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) and first-year Samuel Sidle (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) notched their first win of the season with an 8-0 shutout of Darius Sabau and Dylan Boltz at third doubles.

 
Singles

• Sanderson wrapped up his team-leading fifth triumph of the season with a 6-0, 6-7 (6), 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles over Reid Hoff.
• Duncan improved to 4-2 with a three-set win at No. 4 singles, coming back from a 1-6 setback with 6-0, 6-2 wins in the final two sets.
• Sidle also posted his fourth singles win of the season, earning an 8-2 victory over Sabau at No. 6 singles.
