IMMACULATA, Pa. – Senior attackman
Preston Ouellette (Trumbull, Conn./St. Joseph) shined once again in a win for the Susquehanna University men's lacrosse team Wednesday night.
Ouellete netted a third of Susquehanna's 18 goals as the River Hawks (2-6) posted an 18-9 non-conference win over the host Immaculata University Mighty Macs (1-3).
Ouellette reset his career-highs in goals and points with his seven-point performance on six goals and an assist.

How It Happened
- It was a high-scoring affair in the first quarter as Susquehanna and Immaculata combined for 10 goals in the first 15 minutes. The River Hawks claimed a 6-4 edge as Ouellette tallied a hat trick and sophomore attackman Logan Frank (Sykesville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) had two assists.
- SU put the game away in the second period with six straight goals in less than eight minutes to complete a 7-0 run after ending the first frame with a goal for a 12-4 halftime advantage. Ouellette continued to roll past the Mighty Mac defense with three goals and an assist while first-year midfielder Rob Swenson (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) added two and two.
- The Mighty Macs won the third stanza, 2-1, to trim the deficit to 13-6, including scoring one with 11 seconds to go.
- Steve Long notched the first goal of the fourth before the River Hawks rattled off four in a row to stake their biggest lead of the game, 17-17, at 7:28.
- Immaculata ended the game on a 2-1 run to make it an 18-9 final.

- Swenson finished the game with season-highs of four goals and six points while Frank tallied career-bests of five assists and six points.
- Senior captain Jacob Fox (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) had a good showing on defense for the River Hawks with eight ground balls while junior defenseman Glenn Dobron (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton North) caused a career-best three turnovers and added his first career assist.
- Senior Joe Acquaviva (Wyckoff, N.J./Don Bosco) was dominant at the X, winning a career-best 23 face-offs as Acquaviva took 28 of 31 face-offs. He also scooped up five ground balls.
- Junior captain Tyler Gross (Magnolia, Del./Caesar Rodney) made four stops, collected two ground balls, and gave up four goals in 30 minutes to earn the win while senior Josh Weaver (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) turned away one shot, had two loose ball pickups, and allowed three goals in 23:28.
- Sophomore Dan Clendenny (Randolph, N.J./Morris Catholic) and first-year Brandon Jonsson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) finished out the last six minutes with Clendenny making two saves.
- Long paced Immaculata with seven points on three goals and four assists as the Mighty Macs lost their third game of the season.
