SELINSGROVE, PA –
Lizzie Herestofa was named the Landmark Conference Libero/Defensive Specialist of the Year for the second season in a row, as the Volleyball All-Conference teams were revealed Tuesday afternoon.
Rosina Esposito and
Paige Sfiroudis were named to the Landmark Conference First Team, while
Kody Dillon picked up Landmark Conference Second Team honors.
Senior
Lizzie Herestofa was named the Libero of the Year for the second season in a row after another stellar season in the maroon and orange. Herestofa is currently the Landmark Conference Leader in digs with 564 on the season and is seven digs away from 2000 for her career. She also leads the conference with 5.53 digs per set and is the team leader in service aces, accumulating 45 over the season so far. Herestofa has tallied 97 assists this season as well, fulfilling her role as a jack of all trades. Against receiving votes Babson College in Mid-October, the Glen Mills native notched a career-high 43 digs, while also adding eight assists and three service aces. This is also the second time Herestofa has earned first-team honors in her career.
Junior
Rosina Esposito was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team at Outside Hitter for the second season in a row after following up her rookie season with a strong junior campaign. After winning Rookie of the Year in 2019, Esposito finished second in the conference in kills (358), third in kills per set (3.54), second in points (410.5), and third in points per set (4.1) during the 2021 season. The junior outside hitter finished second on the team in digs with 307 on the season and accumulated 13 double-doubles on the year. Esposito had an outstanding game against conference foe Drew recording a massive double-double finishing with 25 kills and 31 digs in the five-set match.
Senior
Paige Sfiroudis was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team at Middle Hitter for the first time in her career for her play in the 2021 campaign. The senior middle hitter was the conference leader in blocks per set and was second in the entire NCAA with a mark of 1.29. Sfiroudis was essential to the blocking front of Susquehanna, as they led the nation with 2.55 blocks per set as a team. She also added 78 kills on the year, contributing 137 points to the River Hawks. Against Moravian, she set a career-high with 12 total blocks in the conference win.
Senior
Kody Dillon was named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team at Middle Hitter for the second year in a row. Along with Sfiroudis, Dillon was a big part of the Susquehanna blocking front, finishing fifth in the conference in blocks per set. The senior middle hitter was also fourth on the team in kills with 130 and was sixth on the team with 69 digs. Against NCAA tournament team Christopher Newport, Dillon registered her only double-double of the season, accumulating 10 kills and 10 digs.
