SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Junior attacker
Caroline Chase (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) had herself a day Wednesday afternoon, scoring a career-best seven goals, as the Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team snapped a two-game skid. Susquehanna (2-2, 2-2 Landmark) posted a 17-5 Landmark Conference victory over the visiting Juniata College Eagles (0-5, 0-5 Landmark).

Back-to-back goals by
Chase, including one 33 seconds into the start of the game, gave the River Hawks a 2-0 lead at 27:16. Juniata scored two consecutive goals of its own for a 2-2 draw with 16:43 left in the half.
Led by first-year attacker
Heather Riefenhauser's (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) one goal and one assist, SU used a 4-0 run to stake a 6-2 advantage with 2:47 remaining in the opening half. The Eagles would head into halftime down 6-3 after junior midfielder
Talia Bertrando found the back of the net with 22 seconds on the clock.
After the two sides traded the first two goals of the second half for a 7-4 game, Susquehanna went to town with 10 unanswered goals to bring on a running clock because of the 10-goal differential and put the game out of reach with a 13-goal margin with 8:03 left in the game.
Top Performers
Chase recorded her third hat trick of the season to bring her career total to six while adding four ground balls.
Riefenhauser also had an outstanding performance for the River Hawks, putting up season-highs of six points, four goals, four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and two assists.
Senior defender
Sarah Bobrowski (Bloomsbury, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) matched her career-best with four ground balls and added a caused turnover while senior captain
Nicole Hauck (Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon) grabbed a season-high six draw controls.
Sophomore
Emmaleen Regan (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Township) and first-year
Bea Daudelin () split equal time with
Regan making her second straight start.
Regan had three saves while
Daudelin made two.
Bertrando finished with two goals and two caused turnovers for the Eagles while sophomore attacker
Aspen Handel had two assists. In goal, first-year
Zoe Watson and sophomore
Chloe Gerhard split equal with
Watson starting.
Watson had five saves and three ground balls while
Gerhard made six stops.
