Selinsgrove, Pa. – The Susquehanna University Volleyball won their fourth straight game on Saturday morning, defeating the Salisbury Seagulls in 3-0 sets. The River Hawks improved to 4-2 on the season while the Seagulls fell to 4-3.
The first set saw Salisbury take a commanding 22-18 lead, but Susquehanna overpowered the Seagulls in the ensuing eight points, as the River Hawks went on a 7-1 run to win the opening set of play. After that, it was all Susquehanna in the second set as they dominated Salisbury, winning 25-13.
The third set saw the Seagulls play the River Hawks tough, coming back from a seven point deficit to get as close as one point, but Susquehanna pulled away at the end to win the match with a 25-22 victory.
Riley O'Dowd (Montville, NJ/Morris Catholic) and
Rosina Esposito (Coraopolis, PA/Montour) led the River Hawk offensive attack, with 12 and 11 kills respectively.
Esposito also contributed 10 digs against Salisbury.
Madison Rockey (Howard, PA/Bald Eagle Area) led the team in assists in the morning match, with 27, after getting the start at setter

Other Notes
- Lizzie Herestofa (Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) led Susquehanna in digs once again, this time with 11 and Kody Dillon (Bear, DE/Caravel Academy) lead the team in blocks (5) for the second straight game.
- Once again, the River Hawks dominated every statistical category over the Seagulls. The main advantage was in the team's hitting percentage where the Hawks were at 19.6 % and Salisbury struggled to keep up with Susquehanna, sitting at 8.7%. The Seagulls finished with 23 attack errors while Susquehanna committed 16.
