SCRANTON, PA – Two doubles wins and victories at one, three, and four singles gave the Susquehanna University women's tennis team and great sendoff to their season with a 5-4 victory over King's.
Kristen Bair and
Grace Tepes won both their matches in the doubles and singles categories, with Bair teaming up with
Julia Pardo to beat Jackie Costello and Braelan Drollas at two doubles, 8-6 and Tepes and
Eliza Mahoney knocking off Payton Lloyd and Emma Rooney at three doubles, 8-3. Tepes squared off with Costello at three singles, winning 6-4 and 6-2, while Bair handled Drollas at four singles, 6-3 and 6-0.
Julie Bramley, who with
Chelsea Kneedler lost their one doubles match against Ashley Kenia and Hailey D'Amato, exacted revenge versus Kenia in the top singles spot by 6-4 and 6-1 scores.
The River Hawks finish their season at 3-12 overall with a 1-6 Landmark record, ending the season with two straight wins after beating Juniata 8-1 in their conference season finale on Wednesday.
