BETHLEHEM, PA – Susquehanna Men's Cross Country competed against 33 other teams in the Lehigh Paul Short Run on Saturday, claiming the 25th spot in team rankings above conference rivals Catholic and Scranton.
Junior
Terence Grenda paced the River Hawks with a time of 26:59.5 to finish 44th out of 388 qualified runners. First-year
Asa Alderman finished close behind in 46th place with a final time of 27:00.9.
Evander Lackman finished next with a time of 28:13.6, while Lukas Vandine set a 28:57.5 pace. The next batch of River Hawks to finish were
Hunter Valentino,
Blandin Conklin, and
Josh Kimotho, who set times of 30:49.2, 31:37.9, and 31:41.9 respectively.
Andrew McDowell finished next for SU with a time of 32:25.2.
Kenny Battistelli and
Jack McCamish came next, with times of 33:10.9 and 33:22.9 respectively. The final River Hawks to cross the line were Jon Witcoski with a time of 34:03.1,
Christian Calderaro with a time of 34:22.5,
Kareem Beck with a time of 35:09.1, Finn Lehman with a time of 36:10.1, and
Jack Compton with a time of 40:35.1.
The team will have time to rest, heading out to Gettysburg College to run in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational on October 14.
