ANNVILLE, PA – Susquehanna women's lacrosse's hot streak continued Saturday on the road at Lebanon Valley, pouring it on in the first quarter scoring the first five goals and seven of the first eight goals towards a 16-5 victory. The River Hawks extend their win streak to five games heading into Landmark Conference play with a 5-2 overall record.
Hannah McNamara offered up SU's first two goals, taking advantage of a one-up opportunity on her first score.

Liv Owen, and
Kelsey Homberg played a role in the next three goals to go up 5-0, with Lebanon Valley finally getting on the board late in the opening quarter to serve as their lone retort. While the Dutchmen fared two goals in the second quarter, the River Hawks doubled that by way of
Abby Andrus getting a pair of scores in the period, along with one each from
Emma Kelleher and
Allie Kutler to take a 9-3 lead into halftime.
While the Dutchmen scored first in the second half, the hits kept coming for the River Hawks with five unanswered scores between the third and fourth quarters.
Madi Mitchell garnered her second score of the season despite her defender status, followed by third-quarter connections by Homberg, McNamara and Harvey, then another from Owen to start the fourth to trigger the running clock ahead 14-4 with just over 14 minutes to play. Two minutes later LVC got the first of three consecutive goals to stop the running clock, which served as little consolation. Susquehanna had time for more goals to trickle in as
Heather Riefenhauser, who led with five points and four assists, got her first and only goal of the day on a one-up chance, assisted by Homberg, while first-year
Jessica Russo closed out the scoring with a goal with less than 90 seconds remaining on a feed from
Kim Nagengast.
McNamara and Owen each had four points for second on the team, with three goals and an assist from McNamara and a pair of goals and assists from Owen. On the career records board that gives the junior Owens 128 career points on 65 goals and 63 assists, while the senior McNamara how has 92 points on 71 goals and 21 assists.
Heather Riefenhauser goes up to 155 career points on 88 goals and 67 assists. Homberg's two-goal day puts her razor thin from the 100 career goal mark with 98 goals, while reaching 125 career points. Sophomore goalie
Aerin O'Brien logged another 60-minute day in goal, tallying 15 saves to up her season record to 6-2.
The River Hawks take a 6-2 record into Landmark Conference action, where they'll open next Saturday at Drew.
