WILKES-BARRE, PA – Susquehanna women's lacrosse locked up the three seed for the Landmark Tournament Saturday following their 19-10 win at Elizabethtown. Behind five hat tricks by

Heather Riefenhauser,
Abby Andrus,
Emma Kelleher, and
Hannah McNamara, along with Drew defeating Juniata 14-12 on Saturday, the River Hawks earned the right to host a quarterfinals game against sixth-seed Moravian on Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Sassafras Field.
The River Hawks and Blue Jays exchanged goals to start with an early 1-1 ledger thanks to
Hannah McNamara's opening score, followed by E-Town's Megan Meyer's equalizer all within the opening 85 seconds. Susquehanna quickly settled in with four unanswered goals over the next three minutes by McNamara, Owen, Kelleher on a one-up, and Riefenhauser for a 5-1 lead with 10:41 showing on the opening period clock. The Blue Jays stopped this streak just over two minutes later with a score, only for SU to rattle off four consecutive strikes by Riefenhauser,
Allie Kutler, Owen and Andrus for a 9-2 lead with 5:52 left in the first quarter. E-Town went on to score three of the next four to end the first and start the second to trail 10-5, only for SU to deliver five straight to put the running clock in effect thanks to scores from Kelleher,
Kelsey Homberg on a one-up chance, Riefenhauser,
Caitlin Harvey, and Andrus. Another Kelleher goal from Andrus closed out the half as the River Hawks led 16-6. The running clock ran for most of the second half as SU led by as many as 12 in the closing half, with the clock only stopping in the closing seconds on a Blue Jays goal from Drew Bridges with under one minute left. Jessica Russo contributed to the second-half goal scoring.

Aerin O'Brien recorded six saves in all 60 minutes in goal as Susquehanna led 39-21 in shots, including 21-16 in shots on goal. The River Hawks also forced the Blue Jays into 19 turnovers, led by two caused turnovers from O'Brien and Homberg. Owen led with six points on three goals and three assists, giving her 161 for her career on 79 goals and 82 assists. Riefenhauser had five points on three goals and two assists, giving her 194 points for her career on 105 scores and 89 assists. Andrus had four points on three goals and one assists for 71 career points on 61 goals and 10 assists. Homberg had three points on one goal and two assists, giving her 150 points on 116 scores and 34 assists, while the remaining hat tricks from McNamara and Kelleher giving them a respective 113 career points (89 goals, 24 assists) and 67 points (45 goals, 22 assists).
The victory completed Susquehanna's regular season at 12-5 with a 6-3 conference record for their highest win total since 2014 and most under head coach
Randall Swope. The maroon and orange helped their cause also with last Saturday's 9-8 overtime win over Scranton, which ultimately aided Susquehanna in the three-way tiebreaker between them, Drew, and Juniata to earn the third seed. The Rangers will rematch with the Eagles in the other Landmark Quarterfinals game on Tuesday, with the winner of that game facing off against Scranton on Thursday. The River Hawks' Tuesday meeting with the Greyhounds will not only determine who plays top-seed Catholic in D.C. Thursday, but a rematch of this year's regular-season matchup where Susquehanna fell victim to a late Moravian rally by a 14-13 score.
