SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna field hockey completed the regular season Wednesday night with a 3-0 win over Goucher, completing their Landmark Conference season at 8-1 as they advance to the Landmark Semifinals Tuesday at 7 p.m. Apart from the three goals, the River Hawks celebrated a new program record with 36 penalty corners. Following the conclusion of Wednesday's Landmark matches, the conference announced the pairings for the opening round of the conference tournament this Saturday, with Susquehanna prepared to host the winner of the Elizabethtown-Lycoming game down at E-Town on Saturday at 6 p.m.
How it Happened:
- It was all River Hawks from the first whistle, with SU tallying four shots in the first quarter of play.
- Emma Campitelli continued her fantastic season, scoring her 11th goal of the season off a pass from Mady Quigley.
- Goucher shut the River Hawks out in the second quarter, with SU tallying an additional nine shots during play. SU led the shooting department 13-0 at the break.
- Late in the third quarter, SUFH was able to strike once more, with a Gracie Roush goal coming from another pass off the stick of Mady Quigley.
- Lauren Leibensperger added her name to the list of scorers, scoring SU's final regular season goal after being assisted by Taylor Rothermel.
