Kieran Thomas Earns 100th Career Point in 18-4 Rout of King's College (Pa.)

SELINSGROVE, PA- The River Hawks advance to 4-0 on the season after taking down the Monarchs of King's College (Pa.) with a score of 18-4. A slew of River Hawks scored on the day, as well as Kieran Thomas earning his 100th career point as an SU athlete.

Susquehanna started out strong on the day ripping off five straight goals through the first period and first half of the second period. Chris Ciccarello started off the day less than a minute into the game as he was assisted by Jack Gaillard to start the SU lead off at one. Gaillard assisted Giovanni Aiello to push the lead to two. Ciccarello was the final River Hawk to score in the first period as he was assisted by Connor Aitken. Susquehanna sat comfortably with a 3-0 lead heading into the second frame.

The second quarter started off hot as Ciccarello continued his dominant day assisting Kieran Thomas, who scored his first of the day. Thomas would follow up his first goal less than four minutes later with an unassisted ball that would slip past the Monarch goalkeeper. Susquehanna kept the pressure on the Monarchs as they would go on a goal scoring spree spanning over the remainder of the matchup. Ciccarello would complete his hat trick against Kings as he was assisted by the all-time career assist leader Jack Gaillard with 4:43 remaining in the second period. Ciccarello would assist Reese Ackerman next, followed by Gaillard earning yet another assist to Kieran Thomas. Ciccarello would end the half with his fourth goal of the day. The River Hawks would be sitting pretty at the end of the half with a 9-2 lead.

Susquehanna's offensive scoring would not slow down entering the second half of the matchup. Kieran Thomas would earn his one hundredth career point with an unassisted goal with 13:52 in the third period remaining. Gaillard would assist Connor Aitken for his first goal of the afternoon, and Gaillard's fifth and final assist of the day. Following the goal by Aitken would be Gaillards first goal of the matchup. He would be assisted by Ciccarello.

The fourth quarter would begin with the River Hawks sitting with a 13-2 lead over the Monarchs. Jack White would check in for SU and score off the pass from Marshall Woodrosky. Kieran Koenke scored an unassisted ball, followed by Tyler Young getting his name in the hat of goals being scored. Ben Polich would help fellow River Hawk Tyler Young score his goal. Koenke would slip one past the Monarch netminder following a pass from Charlie Haines. Kings College would get back on the board with 5:05 remaining in the matchup. Garrett Howell would score one of the two remaining goals of the afternoon, and he would also assist on one. Tyler Young would assist on Howell's goal. Charlie Haines would be the final River Hawk to score on the afternoon. King's College's John Wall would score the final goal of the afternoon with 21 seconds remaining in the matchup.
