GLASSBORO, NJ - Susquehanna's women's lacrosse team headed to New Jersey Saturday afternoon for a matchup at regional stronghold Rowan. The Profs put up nine first-half goals to take a 9-2 lead at the half, leading to a 16-4 victory. Goalie Aerin O'Brien reached the 300 career save milestone on the day after issuing 14 saves to give the junior 309 in the college ranks. 

Rowan scored the first five goals before Sophia Trively got the River Hawks' first goal, assisted by Liv Owen. Owen assisted the team's next goal as Allie Kutler netted the team's next goal that cut the Profs' lead at 8-2. Emma Kelleher delivered Susquehanna's third goal of the day in the third quarter as the scoreboard read 11-3. O'Brien kept up her season-long stay in net, posting a 45.2 save percentage on 31 shots faced. Owen's day moved her career totals up to 96 assists to put her closer to the century mark in that category. Kutler took her career numbers up to 107 points and 81 goals, while Kelleher is now at 94 career points with 62 points. 

The River Hawks will now settle into their Landmark Conference season, beginning with a home game against Drew next Saturday, Mar. 22. Only one other non-conference game remains on SU's schedule as they head to Alvernia on Tuesday, Mar. 25. Though the River Hawks are 2-6 to start the season, they were endowed with tough competition that should serve them well for the long haul. Their two wins came against Misericordia by a 10-8 score, then a 20-2 shelling at Allegheny last Saturday. Another key game was an overtime affair with Lebanon Valley on Mar. 4, which the Flying Dutchmen prevailed in, 13-12.
