SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's tennis first-years Logan Rauschenberger and Tyler Hester logged impressive rookie campaigns for the River Hawks in 2024-25, so much so that they earned All-Landmark Conference honors. Rauschenberger was voted the Rookie of the Year and picking up First Team Singles, while he and Hester, the team's number-one doubles tandem, were selected Second Team Doubles. 

The two were welcomed additions to the team, quickly becoming the program's top doubles team with an 8-5 overall record. Rauschenberger, as SU's one singles player, boasted an 11-3 mark in the top spot and 6-3 in the Landmark. Hester settled in at four singles, going 7-6 there in a 9-6 rookie campaign where he also earned a 2-0 record at three singles. Rauschenberger was a two-time Landmark Athlete of the Week selection, with perhaps one of his big highlights of the year coming against eventual Landmark champion Goucher. He earned Susquehanna's lone victory of the day at one singles when he took down Landmark Player of the Year Gabe Haftoly in three sets, avenging a 6-3 defeat in game one with 6-0 and 10-4 victories in the latter frames. 

The River Hawks received a boost this season thanks to newcomers like Rauschenberger and Hester who held down the top spots and managed key victories towards a 9-6 overall record and 4-5 conference record, clinching their first Landmark Tournament spot since 2022. The team started the year at 5-0, while three of their Landmark defeats were decided by one point in 4-3 decisions against Catholic, Drew and Scranton. Their Landmark wins included Elizabethtown, Lycoming, Wilkes, and Juniata.
