NEWVILLE, PA – The Susquehanna University men's cross country team took 3rd Saturday morning at Dickinson College's Long-Short Invitational 4K race, held on the rolling hills of Big Spring High School. The River Hawks faced a deep field featuring Landmark rivals and strong regional competition, using the race as a mid-season benchmark.
Sophomore
Derick Blair led the pack, running a 12:18.4, taking 8th overall and breaking the record for the fastest 4K in Susquehanna history. Not far behind Blair were
Evander Lackman (Jr.) and
Thomas McGann (So.), running a 12:37.7 for Lackman and a 13:04.2 for McGann. These times place them both in Susquehanna's top 10 performances, with Lackman moving into 3rd all-time and McGann at 9th. Susquehanna tallied the third-lowest team total with 32 points.
