SELINSGROVE, Pa. — The Susquehanna University women's soccer team earned a 4-1 Landmark Conference victory over Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon at Sassafras Multipurpose Field, scoring three times in the first half before adding an insurance goal after the break. The River Hawks improved to 9-5-3 overall and 2-3-3 in Landmark Conference play with the win, keeping their Landmark Tournament hopes alive.
How It Went Down

- Less than two minutes later, Susquehanna doubled its lead. Billmeyer again provided the setup, finding Caroline Slunt for a goal at 7:51 to put the River Hawks ahead 2-0.
- Lycoming responded in the 21st minute when Ella Magee converted a penalty kick to cut the deficit to one. The River Hawks answered just over five minutes later, as Billmeyer converted a penalty kick of her own at 25:53 to restore Susquehanna's two-goal cushion. The score gave Billmeyer her fourth goal of the season and capped a productive opening half in which she recorded two assists and a goal.
- Susquehanna carried a 3-1 advantage into halftime after generating eight shots in the opening 45 minutes. Goalkeeper Katie Henchy helped preserve the lead, making four saves in the first half as Lycoming attempted to work its way back into the contest.
- The River Hawks continued to apply pressure after the break, outshooting Lycoming 10-8 in the second half. Their efforts paid off in the 74th minute when Hannah Parslow found the back of the net at 73:55 to extend the lead to 4-1. Slunt supplied the assist on Parslow's goal, recording her second point of the afternoon.
