FORT PIERCE, FL - Susquehanna fell in a close battle with the Spartans, 6-5. The River Hawks fought valiantly, claiming the lead multiple times in a back and forth battle, before falling behind late in the 8th inning, being unable to regain the lead.
Manchester 6 Susquehanna 5:
- Dylan Heyduk started the bat swinging early, sailing a ball to left field, advancing Michael Gagliardi. The Spartans defense prevailed throughout the remainder of the inning, not allowing another hit for the remainder of the inning. The River Hawks did not allow a hit in the first inning of play to Manchester.
- CJ Orrego earned a hit in the second inning, singling to right field. Just like the first inning of play, the Spartans defense held strong, not allowing a run to score.Â
- Andrew Haussman struck first for SU, earning a single to left field. Michael Girardi crossed home plate, streaking in from second base to take the early 1-0 lead for SU entering the fourth inning of play.
- Manchester earned the equalizing run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Susquehanna was unable to regain the lead in the fifth inning of play.
- With the score tied at one run each, Jaden Buechler doubled to left field, scoring CJ Orrego for the River Hawks to jump back in front.Â
- Manchester countered in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring two runs to gain their first lead of the contest at 3-2.
- Susquehanna scored two runs in the seventh inning to regain the lead. Girardi scored on a passed ball, resulting in a close call at home plate.Â
- Andrew Haussman earned a walk after watching the Spartans pitch roll to the back stop. Dylan Heyduk scored on this opportunity, taking a 4-3 SU lead into the 8th inning.
- Manchester's offense struck once more earning two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to take the 6-4 lead into the final frame.
- Susquehanna tallied one run in the final inning, but was unable to find the equalizer, resulting in a 6-5 loss to Manchester University.

- Susquehanna finished their afternoon with five hits in comparison to the Spartans seven hits. Andrew Haussman recorded two hits during the game. Heyduk, Orrego, and Buechler all recorded one hit during the game.
- Domaracki earned the start for the River Hawks, working five full innings. Domaracki recorded five strikeouts during his time on the mound. Cole Lilore recorded one strikeout in his one inning on the mound.Â
