SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna earned its first win of the 2026 season Saturday afternoon, defeating visiting Penn College 1-0 at Sassafras Field. It was a late first half goal that made all the difference as Zak Kreisher pulled the trigger to the back of the net on an assist from Luke Baker.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
- After controlling much of the first half, the River Hawks broke through in the 43rd minute when Zak Kreisher scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Luke Baker.
- Susquehanna carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime and held off a second-half push from the Wildcats to secure the shutout victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The River Hawks finished with an 11-11 deadlock in shots, while Penn College held an 11-3 advantage in shots during the second half.
- Finn Kramer was outstanding in goal, making seven saves to record his first shutout of the season.
- Susquehanna also received three shots apiece from Khalil McDonald, Owen Smith and Jack McCarthy.
- Kreisher finished with one shot and converted the game's lone scoring opportunity, while Baker was credited with the assist.
