Prior to SU: Attended Dallas High School ... Played for Ken Kashatus ... Played basketball, lacrosse, and baseball ... Apart of DHS Lax Club, NEPA Kayak Club, and DHS STEM Club ... Pitched in 10 games in his final year of high school baseball .. five starts, two complete games, six wins, 38 innings, 50 SOs, and 1.47 ERA ... Hit .357 with 24 hits, five doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 19 RBIs. 

Personal: Jake Ryan Shaver ... Son of Melissa and John... Has two brothers, Dylan and Dusty ... Intends to graduate college and become an actuary ... Chose SU "To further my baseball career and begin my journey to become an actuary. I was also interested in the GO program." ... Has been a cook at the Lake-side Skillet in Harveys Lake, PA.
