Kieran Koch

Biography Banner

Kieran Koch is in his third season as the Diamond River Hawks' assistant coach entering the spring of 2024. Working with the pitchers and catchers, Koch has been behind many of Susquehanna's key batterymen that produced a Landmark Conference championship in 2023 and an appearance in the NCAA Regional Finals.

Prior to Susquehanna, Koch was part of the inaugural coaching staff of Mary Baldwin University's (Va.) newly-formed baseball team, a role he served in between Fall 2019 and Fall 2020. Battling through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, academics and recruiting remained steady as the team roster grew to 29 and the team GPA to above 3.1 by Fall 2020. He was the Pitching Coach at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois during the 2016-17 season. That spring the Highlanders finished ninth in the nation in K/9 (8.71) and OBA (.282) towards their third straight 20-win season.

Koch, a left-handed pitcher, played his college ball at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire from 2012 to 2015, being part of the college's only two NECC championship teams. He spent the summer of 2013 playing for the Chelmsford Merchants of the Coastal New England Baseball League (CNEBL), posting a 2-0 record and 0.00 ERA in 17 innings of work.
