Alyssa Rothman '16 joined the field hockey coaching staff at Susquehanna University prior to the start of the 2017 season. Rothman's primary focus is on the defensive end of the field, working closely with the goalies.

Rothman graduated with honors from Susquehanna as a two-sport student-athlete playing both field hockey and lacrosse. She was a 2015 All-Landmark Conference Second Team selection at goalkeeper in field hockey. Rothman finished her career ranked fifth in school history for career shutouts (6), sixth in career goals against average (1.99), and seventh in career wins (16).

On the lacrosse field, she started 19 games and helped the squad to two NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament appearances, including advancing to the second round in 2014. Susquehanna captured the Landmark women's lacrosse championship title in 2013.

The Trooper, Pa., native was a Dean's List student, who was a member of the Student Athletic Mentor (SAM) Club and the Hillel program during her time at Susquehanna.

In the summer of 2016, Rothman traveled to Australia to compete and play field hockey internationally with USA Athletes International.

She is currently applying to Physician's Assistant schools.
