Cody Botts joined the Susquehanna football coaching staff in March 2021 following an outstanding career at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. The Millmont, Pa., native serves as the tight ends coach and also assists in coaching the offensive line.

Botts first coaching opportunity happened in fall of 2020 as he was the varsity football assistant coach at Lewisburg Area High School, helping to develop fundamentals and knowledge of scheme for the offensive line. He served as a varsity basketball assistant coach at Lewisburg as well, evaluating player performance and making final roster decisions.

He was a four-year member of the Lycoming football program as an offensive lineman playing left tackle. Botts excelled for the Warriors both on and off the field, being named a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for three straight seasons. He was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, an annual award given by the National Football Foundation to the college football player with the best combination of academics, community service, and on-field performance. Botts was awarded the Leland "Lee" Calistri '59 Award, Lycoming's highest team honor and given to a senior, who, during his four-year Warrior career, placed the team's success above his own.
