Matthew Der Torossian joined the Susquehanna University Coaching Staff for the 2024 season as Wide Receivers Coach. His young college football journey as a student-athlete and coach now completes the trifecta, spanning all three NCAA divisions.

The Laguna Hills, Calif. native was an accomplished student-athlete at Laguna Hills High School, being named football team captain his senior season and the school's Male Athlete of the Year in 2019. He pursued his talents up the road at San Jose State as quarterback from 2019 to 2021, then transferred to NCAA Division II University of Indianapolis (UIndy) from 2022 to 2023.

Der Torossian holds the distinction of being on three conference championship teams during his college playing career, starting with San Jose State winning the 2020 Mountain West Conference title. While with the Greyhounds he transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver as the program netted 18 wins and back-to-back Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) championships and NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. His academic excellence matched this, being named to the Dean's List and received All-Academic praise from the Mountain West and the GLVC. He graduated from UIndy with a BBA in Business and Entrepreneurship.
