Conell "Nelly" Fain is in his first season with the Susquehanna University football coaching staff for 2024.
Fain is a local product from up the road at Sunbury, Pa., graduating from Shikellamy High School and Bloomsburg University where he was a defensive lineman. He earned his degree from Bloomsburg in 2024 in Media and Journalism.
Fain moved from Sunbury to Atlanta, Ga. in middle school, where he played his first three years of high school football at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate High School. He returned to Sunbury his senior year and played for current SU assistant coach Todd Tilford at Shikellamy High School. He was a three-sport athlete at "Shik" as a member of the wrestling team and a thrower on the track & field team.
