Tim Kologrivov rejoined the Susquehanna University football coaching staff for 2023 after serving once before under head coach Tom Perkovich from 2015 to 2017. He returns to his previous position coaching the defensive line, while sharing Special Teams Coordinator duties and serving as Defensive Recruiting Coordinator. He was promoted to Defensive Coordinator in 2024.
“Coach Kolo” returns to Selinsgrove after a three-year stint at NJCAA Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY. He served as the Mustangs’ Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach, presiding over the team’s historic 2021 season that reached a bowl game following a 10-0 regular season. His defense swooped in for 19 interceptions with 38 passes broken up, and along with his specials teams combined for eight touchdowns and recovered 18 fumbles, both of which ranked number one in the nation.
Kologrivov coached at St. Lawrence University, where he was the linebackers and special teams coordinator in 2019. He had previously held the role of recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach at SLU in 2018. Kologrivov oversaw and improved a special teams unit that, in 2019, scored 42 more points on special teams than the previous season, converted a pair of fake punts and blocked five kicks. In 2018, his defensive line led the Liberty League in sacks and tackles for loss.
Kologrivov began his coaching career at Susquehanna University from 2015-17. He coached the defensive line for all three seasons, and the outside linebackers in 2016. Susquehanna finished 24th in the country in 2017 in total defense. Kologrivov was responsible for recruiting in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and was responsible for recruiting All-American running back Da'Avian Ellington.
The Wyckoff, NJ native played for head coach Drew Gibbs at Ramapo High School, winning a state championship in 2009. He went on to play at University of Albany under coach Bob Ford, picking up back-to-back Northeast Conference championships. Kologrivov played all across the defensive line for the Great Danes and was also the team's long snapper. He led the team in sacks and tackles for loss as a senior.
Kologrivov graduated from University at Albany in 2015 with bachelor’s degrees in history and sociology. He is a certified level 1 Olympic strength and conditioning coach.
