Turjon McLaurin arrives to Susquehanna for the 2024 season as Defensive Line Coach.
McLaurin is a 2023 graduate of Greenville University (Ill.), where he finished a successful student-athlete career as a two-time UMAC First Team selection at defensive line in 2021 and 2022, while earning the UMAC's Defensive Player and Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2021. That season he finished second all-time with 10.5 sacks, which ranked 29th in all NCAA Division III, on his way to earning First Team All-Region 6.
In his final spring semester at Greenville, Mclaurin served as a student recruiting assistant. He took this experience towards his first coaching stop as an assistant at Mansfield University (Pa.) where he coached the defensive line. He also was an assistant throws coach for Mansfield's track and field team, tapping into the experience he gained while as a two-sport student-athlete at Greenville. An accomplished thrower, Mclaurin earned multiple podium placements, including second-place finishes in the shot put and hammer throw and third place in the discus to help the Panthers win their sixth straight SLIAC title in 2023.
