Tyler Hamilton arrived to Susquehanna University in 2024 as Tight Ends Coach.

Hamilton played four years at the University of Maryland as an offensive lineman from 2017 to 2021, earning the 2019 Madieu Williams Award for outstanding non-scholarship player. He arrived to College Park after an illustrious high school career St. Vincent Pallotti High School in his hometown of Bowie, Md., where he was a two-time team captain and earning All-Conference and All-MET honors his senior year.

His transition into coaching transpired while still with the Terrapins, beginning as a student assistant during the 2020 season helping with the offensive line, then becoming Assistant Offensive Line Coach for the 2021 season. In 2022 he joined the coaching staff at University of New Haven, helping oversee the offensive line and adding tight ends to his duties. In two seasons the Chargers combined for 16 wins with back-to-back NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and the 2023 NE-10 Conference championship. The development of tight end Kevin Foelsch paid great dividends as he caught 12 touchdowns over both those championship seasons, including a league-high seven TD receptions among tight ends in 2023 and third-highest among all receivers.

Hamilton graduated from Maryland in 2021 with his Bachelor of Science in Family Science.
