PRIOR TO SU: Attended Shippensburg High School where he ran track and played basketball... won two letters for long and triple jump in track and won four letters in basketball.... Was captain of the basketball team during his junior and senior year, was all Mid Penn all four years... was offensive MVP freshman, sophomore and junior years.. in 2021 was Sentinel POTY, Midd-Penn POTY, PennLive POTY, and all state... Is Shippensburg all time leader in points (1510) assists (523) steals (153) and Games played with 98 (started all 98) 

Personal: Son of Sharita Statum... has three siblings Ja’nye(16) Lyric(12) Jarel(10).... Choose SU because "the culture of the basketball program was amazing and the school was ideal from the appearance to the academics to the size. it has a great home vibe"
