
Chad Bailey enters his 24th season on the Susquehanna coaching staff for the 2024-25 season. Bailey is involved in all aspects of the program.
A native of Mifflinburg, Pa., and a 1988 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, Bailey began his collegiate playing career at Division III York College of Pennsylvania before transferring to Lycoming College. He graduated in 1992 from Lycoming with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and began his coaching career at Athens (Pa.) Area High School that fall.
After coaching junior varsity high school basketball at Athens for one year, Bailey coached junior high school basketball at Milton (Pa.) Middle School for several years before becoming an assistant coach at the Pennsylvania College of Technology for the 1999–2000 season. During the 2000–01 season, Bailey returned to Lycoming and served as an assistant basketball coach before coming to Susquehanna for the 2001–02 season.
He has been part of four Susquehanna programs that reached the NCAA Tournament (2016, 2017, 2020, 2022), and the Landmark Conference championship game (2016, 2020, 2022, 2024), as well as two that were crowned Landmark champions (2020, 2022).
Bailey is a math teacher at Mifflinburg and resides in Lewisburg, Pa., with his wife, Jocelyn.
