Coach Weir is beginning his sixth season as the sprint and hurdle coach for Susquehanna University. He has helped the River Hawks become one of the strongest hurdles and sprints groups in the conference. 

In 2018-19, he helped lead the River Hawks to third place finishes in both men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track. In the 2017-2018 season, Ryan coached 29 conference finalists, two second team All-Landmark athletes, one first team All-Landmark athlete, and one Landmark Conference champion.

Before coming to Susquehanna, Weir spent two years as the hurdle coach for his high school, Cloverleaf High School in Lodi, OH. During his time at Cloverleaf he coached ten Portage Trail Conference finalists, two PTC champions, eight district and regional finalists, two district champions, and one OHSAA State qualifier.

Coach Weir attained his BS in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, OH. While at BW he was an 8-time conference and All-Ohio qualifying sprinter and hurdler. He was on the 4x200m relay team that holds the current school record (1:29:85). In addition, Ryan was also a two-time Yellow Jacket Award recipient and captain.

Weir currently holds a USATF Level 1 Certifications as well as a Track and Field Technical Certification through USTFCCCA.
