Tyler Hansen joined the Susquehanna Unviersity track and field coaching staff in November of 2022. Hansen will be coaching short sprints and relays, as well as helping with recruiting and meet management.
"We are extremely excited to have Tyler join our staff here at Susquehanna," said Ethan Senecal. "Being a two-time All-American at Springfield College has given him the knowledge of what it takes to get to the next level and his passion for the sport will help continue to build our program."
Hansen comes to Susquehanna after a very successful career at Springfield College, as he was a five-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champion in the 4x100, 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
He was the 2017 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and earned 2019 NEWMAC Track Athlete of the Year as well as being honored as an NCAA All-American twice indoors in the 200 meter dash and the 4x100 meter relay.
Hansen was also a United Stats Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-Academic honoree, as well as earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2019.
"I am extremely excited to join such an accomplished and successful team, and to be part of a great and distinguished coaching staff," said Hansen. "I look forward to seeing what our team can accomplish this upcoming year and continuing to learn and grow as a coach.
