Ryan Alexander is in his first season on the women's basketball coaching staff for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Slippery Rock University, Alexander comes to the River Hawks with multiple years of coaching experience spanning over two different universities, as well as a global stint with the Global Squad Academy.
Alexander comes to the River Hawks after spending three seasons (2022–25) as a Student Assistant Coach at Slippery Rock University under head coach Ryenn Micaletti. During his tenure with The Rock, he assisted with travel logistics, practice operations, scouting, oversight of the Student Manager Program, and led player development workouts while also competing in drills. He played a key role in the development of three All-Conference players: Regan Atkins, Deleah Gibson, and Isabellah Middleton.
In 2025, Alexander gained international coaching experience with Global Squad Academy, serving as Head Assistant Coach and Assistant to the Director. He oversaw camp operations, led player development workouts, and guided international athletes through the recruiting process. He previously gained collegiate experience with the Lock Haven University men's basketball program in 2021–22, assisting with workouts and practice operations.
Beyond the collegiate ranks, Alexander has coached and presented at numerous youth and elite basketball camps, contributing to player development and program organization at multiple levels of the game.
