Brad Shaeffer joined the Susquehanna University football coaching staff in the spring of 2026 to coach the offensive line.
Shaeffer started his coaching career at his alma mater Slippery Rock University, where he contributed to two deep playoff runs as a player, going as far at the 4th round in the NCAA Playoffs. He began coaching in the fall of 2021 and was with Slippery Rock until the summer of 2024, when he graduated from there with a Masters of Public Health; Health Promotion and Wellness. During his tenure at Slippery Rock they made the NCAA Tournament and won the PSAC Western Division every season. He also coached two Don Hansen All-Americans in back-to-back seasons. He began coaching at Millersville University in the fall of 2024 where he had been until coming to Susquehanna. His first season with the River Hawks will be his 7th season coaching.Â
