Eva Stoessel joined Nick Hoover’s coaching staff in January of 2025 and serves as Assistant Coach for Player Development and Recruiting Coordinator.

In her first season with the River Hawks, Stoessel helped guide the program to its best record in three seasons and a berth in the Landmark Conference Semifinals for the first time since 2022, with three players earning All-Landmark Conference honors.

Stoessel has continued to develop her coaching credentials, earning her U.S. Soccer “D” License, as well as the United Soccer Coaches Modern Goalkeeping Diploma.

A native of Grantville, Pennsylvania, Stoessel started her coaching journey with Penn FC and Elite Soccer Academy. Currently, she coaches the North Union United 09 Strikers. She also helped lead the Lancaster Inferno U23 side to an unbeaten 2024 campaign in the UWS League 2.

As a player at Lock Haven University, Stoessel appeared in 72 career matches, making 54 starts while recording seven goals and two assists as a midfielder and was recognized as a PSAC Scholar-Athlete in 2023. She was named team captain as a senior and continued to wear the armband during her graduate season in 2024.

Stoessel graduated magna cum laude from Lock Haven in May 2024 with a degree in Business Administration and Management. She went on to earn her master's degree in Sport Management and International Sport Management in August 2025.
